Ouch Charlie.

(Enter cheesy cliche about life going on here)

Oh what would we do without Karen Karl constantly keeping us on our toes....

after all the hectic commotion I met dad at the Park Lane Sheraton when he arrived. We walked around a little looking for a bite...stopped at an italian place where he got some pizza and i got delicious pesto soup. (just a warning my whole weekend revolved around food and so will this entry)

Next morning dad and I met in Hyde Park for breakfast on the beautiful Serpentine Lake...dad attempted to pay in euros...we had a great egg breakfasts with some coffee...I then walked him to Oxford street where he would begin his day of work/shopping.  I met up with the roomates and we all went to Borough Markets. FOOD FOOD AND MORE FOOD  it was crazy, just booth after booth of free samples of cheese, bread, oils, spreads, etc. and millions of people.  We spent a few hours there, then saw the London Tower Bridge.  We also saw The Monument (202 feet hight) by coincidence.  It was all really pretty.. I wanna go back another day and actually explore the tower bridge up close.  We then went back home..shower, clean up, blah blah.

Met dad at the hotel and walked around Piccadilly and Covent Gardens for a bit...it's such a fun place to explore at night.  Ended up stopping for dinner at a traditional english restaurant called Porters.  We of course had to have pot pies...my first one ever! They were really good, we both enjoyed them and of course topped them off with some ice cream for dessert. There was a crazy group of english people celebrating a b-day next to us and they were more than entertaining. We were both exhausted and parted ways for a good night sleep.

This morning (sunday now) we met at the Marble Arches.  Went to breakfast at a little cafe, Toast (no we were not in Montclair).  Then back to the apartment to show dad around my 'hood' and drop off some goodies mom packed for me : )   Dad met the roomies and all then it was back to Oxford street for some Lindsey shopping time.  We went to selfridges and topshop...busy,busy,busy.  Before we knew it it was 2 o clock and time to go...we didn't purchase anything but got good ideas for purchases tomr hehehe...this European fashion is a lot for me to take in, idk if i'm quite ready to try and pull it off.  We had to go at 2 because.....TEA TIME.  Dad navigated his way to Browns Hotel which he gets a lot of credit for cause i didn't trust he truly knew where he was going..he proved me wrong and we arrived early.  Tea for 2 was delish.  Place was nice and cozy and there was a pianist...we ate sandwiches, scones, and pastries.  Dad got a traditional afternoon tea and I get an oriental sweet tea (they gave us samples to take away so Mom will get a chance to have them in Jersey and feel like she was still with us..and we stole you some sweet-n-low from the table).  Dads favorite part of the meal was the jam that went on the scones.. it was fresh and delish.  We felt so proper. As we left it was drizzling, of course, and we stopped by Fortum & Mason...bought some tea..but the weird part was when we were on line we saw chocolate covered giant ants, oven baked tarantula, scorpion vodka, and many other bugged foods...and they were legit ?!?  We were gonna buy some for Cory to eat but ended up being too weirded out.

We are now resting at the hotel...I have some pics but my connector is back in my apt. so they will be uploaded later.
 Cheers
